This is for a swap on one of my groups and an entry in the Little Paper Shop color challenge. I used the required colors of Kraft, Chocolate, & Yellow. Papers are from JoAnn's, I bought the butterfly at Tues. Mornings and the brad at JoAnn's. Can't remember where I got the ribbon probably Micheal's as I buy a lot of ribbon from there. The thread for the string embroidery is also from JoAnn's. I made this one a Birthday card and used the Card Positioning Systems challenge sketch. All papers and the gems are from JoAnn's, the flowers are from Wal Mart, the verse is from Micheal's. As you can see my three cards are quite different even though I used the same four colors for each of the three cards. I just used them in different ways. I hope you enjoy my cards tonight. I am really glad to have the time to get back to making my cards. My Aunt passed away a little over a week ago and I wanted a special card for them. I have entered it into the Stamping Sisters in Christ Sunday challenge which is to mount up part of your card image. The Bible and flowers are from a Inkadinkado stamp set I recently purchased at JoAnn's. I stamped the image on white cardstock and then heat embossed itin black, I then cut the image out and taped it to my embossed cardstock that I had received in a swap on the Just Cards group. I attached this to my pick base card. I stamped my image again and heat embossed it using burgandy embossing powder, I colored the flowers with my marking pens and cut out the flower portion of the image. I then used pop dots to put it onto the first image. I stamped my verse that is from The Angel Company and heat embossed it with silver, cut it out with curved edges and pop dotted it onto the front of my card. Hope you like my work, Janet
Janet,http://www.blogger.com/profile/13986369240453385619noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-595855447453745353.post-58911672256487381702010-03-31T00:38:00.000-07:002010-03-31T00:43:07.683-07:00Thank You

This is another card done in white, orange, green and purple for my swap group's color challenge. In this card I used the sketch from the Card Pattern's challenge. The papers are all from JoAnn's, I used my cuttlebug embossing folder for the white piece of cardstock to give it some dimension, cut an oval with my nestibilities to stamp Thank You on and added some orange ribbon for the final detail. The oval is put on with mounting tape to add more dimension to the card. The imaage is from InkADinkADo, I heat embossed it in black and use colored pens for the added color. I used some of my embossed background paper from a swap on Just Cards, cut out the center with my nestibilities and added a pretty ribbon and a You're Purrfect stamp. The kitten picture is from an old calendar. This was a fun card to make I used three different cuttlebug embossing folders for the different papers. They were all matted with black and the Rejoice and ribbon are also in black. The cross is in a light lavender to make my pastel card complete. They change when you move the card. I used papers from JoAnn's, versa mark for the Birthday greeting and a small piece of ribbon to complete the cards. The sketch is this weeks Sketch and Stash challenge. Enjoy, Janet
Janet,http://www.blogger.com/profile/13986369240453385619noreply@blogger.com3
