This is all for now, Thanks for looking, Janet

Yellow with diamonds

Another swap card and my entry in the Daring Card Makers challenge to use some diamonds. I bought the crystals at JoAnn's, the embossed background is from a swap on the Just Cards group. I used part of an old card for the central image and emblished it with some glitter glue and the crystals. The ribbon makes the final touch of yellow. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Pretty in Pink

Another card for a swap and my entry in the Stamp Something challenge to use pink. I used three different pinks and embossed them with my cuttlebug embossing folders. Did a little sanding on the one so the dots show up better. The flower image is from an old card I am recycling. Hope you all have a wonderful day, Janet

Butterfly

Morning everyone, I was busy last night and got a few new cards made. This is for a swap on one of my groups and an entry in the Little Paper Shop color challenge. Can't remember where I got the ribbon probably Micheal's as I buy a lot of ribbon from there. The thread for the string embroidery is also from JoAnn's. Hope you like my card, Janet

Happy Birthday

My final card in white, orange, green and purple. I made this one a Birthday card and used the Card Positioning Systems challenge sketch. All papers and the gems are from JoAnn's, the flowers are from Wal Mart, the verse is from Micheal's. As you can see my three cards are quite different even though I used the same four colors for each of the three cards. I just used them in different ways. I hope you enjoy my cards tonight. I am really glad to have the time to get back to making my cards. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

With Sympathy

I made this card for my Uncle and cousins. My Aunt passed away a little over a week ago and I wanted a special card for them. I have entered it into the Stamping Sisters in Christ Sunday challenge which is to mount up part of your card image. The Bible and flowers are from a Inkadinkado stamp set I recently purchased at JoAnn's. I stamped the image on white cardstock and then heat embossed itin black, I then cut the image out and taped it to my embossed cardstock that I had received in a swap on the Just Cards group. I attached this to my pick base card. I stamped my image again and heat embossed it using burgandy embossing powder, I colored the flowers with my marking pens and cut out the flower portion of the image. I then used pop dots to put it onto the first image. I stamped my verse that is from The Angel Company and heat embossed it with silver, cut it out with curved edges and pop dotted it onto the front of my card. Hope you like my work, Janet

Thank You

This is another card done in white, orange, green and purple for my swap group's color challenge. In this card I used the sketch from the Card Pattern's challenge. The papers are all from JoAnn's, I used my cuttlebug embossing folder for the white piece of cardstock to give it some dimension, cut an oval with my nestibilities to stamp Thank You on and added some orange ribbon for the final detail. The oval is put on with mounting tape to add more dimension to the card. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Thinking of you, birthday card

This card is for a swap on one of my groups and is for two different challenges. # 1 is the Just Christmas and Birthdays sketch challenge and #2 is for Stamp Something's doodle challenge.
I had to use white, orange, purple and green for my swap challenge, The papers are from JoAnn's, I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders a gel pen for the doodles and stamps from Micheals. Have a great day, Janet

With Deepest Sympathy

I made this card today for my cousin who lost her husband this last weekend. He had been sick for quite some time by his death was a shock to the family. I used the sketch from Unscripted sketchs to make the card. The imaage is from InkADinkADo, I heat embossed it in black and use colored pens for the added color. The black circles for the top are cut with two of my punches fastened to a piece of cardstock and then stamped with a verse from a Micheal's stamp. I embossed it with antique yellow. Ribbon, and a black mat were added for a finished touch. Thanks for looking, Janet

Love is in the Air

Another Simple Doodles card using my home made crayon background and the new Heart Bear digi stamp. I made this for a Birthday card for a little girl. The sketch is from the Just Christmas and Birthdays Wed. challenge. To make the background paper I grated color crayons onto wax paper (put the wax paper onto a firm pad of newspaper) when I had all my colors grated I placed my sheet of cardstock on top, put a old piece of a sheet on top and then ironed everything. Make sure you use a hot iron, no steam. Look at your paper and if it needs more color grate more crayons and repeat the ironing. It works pretty easy. I am not sure if this is the directions given on other sites I lost the web sites and went with my own idea on how to complete this project. Hope you have fun trying it out, Janet

Pretty Blue Birthday

Here is my entry in the Stamping Sisters in Christ Sunday challenge. We had to use two of each thing we used on the card. So I have two blue papers, two silk flowers, two brads and two ribbon bows. Enjoy, Janet

Birthday in Blue

This is my third card and it is entered in the Stamp TV sketch challenge. Again I used my hand made background paper for the focal point of the card which I put onto the card with pop dots. I cut it out using one of my nestibilities, my light blue mat is embossed using one of the cuttlebug embossing folders and I used a piece of ribbon for the horizontal part of the sketch. I used the words Happy Birthday from a scrap piece of print paper for the finishing touch. Thanks for looking, Janet

Just shapes and colors

I used the Paper Craft sketch challenge for this card. I cut my background paper with my circle punch and with my nestibilities. I used ribbon and a get well saying from The Angel Company. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Hearts and Flowers

My three cards tonight are for a swap on one of my groups. All of them use a back ground tech. of hair mousse and re-inkers. Can't find the directions right now but you use Mousse and reinkers on a piece of foil or wax paper ( I put it on one side then folded the foil in half to make a different pattern) you then put your cardstock piece into the colored mousse, lift it off and let it dry. Mine didn't dry as fast as I wanted so I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat set it. Turned out pretty good. When I do this again I will use less ink so it doesn't blob up on me.
Now for this card it is in two card challenges, #1 Card positioning systems sketch challenge and # 2 the Daring card makers challenge to use something with a point. I used verse mark to stamp hearts with arrows through them, a strip of my background paper, silk flowers with jewel centers. Enjoy, Janet

This was a easy card to make and I think it turned out really nice. I used one of the embossed sheets I received in a swap on my Just Cards group, cut a hole in the center with my new nestibilities, colored my digi image and cut it out and glued it to the middle of my base card. Attached the embossed piece on top, added a blue ribbon and a shinny blue heart using pop dots. Great Birthday card for a child or a cat lover. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Gingerbread angel

Only one new card tonight. Busy sewing and reading today. This is my entry in the Whimsiedoodles Wed. challenge to use a window in my card.
