Birthday in Blue bonus sketch

This is a bonus sketch challenge on 2S4Y. I am giving it to a friend for her birthday tomorrow. I used a recycled card, some silk flowers, gems for the centers and a sizzix die cut flower for emblishments. I know she will love this because she likes the old fashion look in cards. I have a few of these old cards and am going to be making up more cards using them in the next month or so. They are so nice to start with and make very elegant cards. Happy scrapping, Janet

Horse Birthday card SSS28

This is my entry in the Sweet Shop sketch challenge 28. It is also a Birthday card for a very good friend at Church who will be 75 on the 1st. I will take the card to church for him tomorrow morning. The picture is from a recycled card, I added highlites to the mane and eyes, also a little on the body of the colt. It is trimed in ribbon and I have added an oval tag cut with my cuttlebug die. He is an old cowboy and will love this card. Happy crafting, Janet

#1

Here is my entry in the Bombshell Stamps sketch challenge. I used two different pattern papers for the background with floral ribbon at the joining point. The striped circle was cut with my Marvy punch and the little girl is one of the Magnolia stamps I got in the fall collection earlier this year. I used colored pencils and a blending pen on her. The #1 stamp is an old one I got a Micheal's years ago. The verse inside says "You are so beautiful to me" a great card to send to any little girl. Happy crafting, Janet

Merry Christmas

This is my entry in the Little Paper Shop sketch challenge.
I used my Creative memories circle cutting set to do all the circles. The stamp is a $ stamp from Micheals. I added to the sketch a little by putting the pattern paper under the red circle. The Christmas tree is part of a recycled card. All paper comes from JoAnn's. Happy crafting, Janet

Fall

Here is my entry in the Digi Kitty colors of Autum challenge. The challenge was to make a card using fall colors. I chose to make a Thanksgiving card, using browns, orange and green. The white flowers make up the final touch. The stamps are from two sets of $1 stamps I bought at a second hand store. I used a creative memories corner punch to do the corners. Happy crafting, Janet

Make a Wish

Here is my entry for the Handfull of Stamps challenge. We had to have four of something on the card. I have four candles and four gems. This is a digi stamp from One8edegree Stickers. I downloaded a couple of their free stamps to try out. This one worked out pretty well. Only thing I don't like about it is the candles have to be what every color you print the image out in and I would like something other than black. Will try this one again and see what I can do about the candles.

Thank You MMSC25

This is my entry for this weeks Midnight Madness sketch challenge # 25. I used my Marvy circle punches and the circle/bubble cuttlebug embossing folder. The Thank you is also a cuttlebug embossing folder. I added embossing powder twice to the embossed words, heating inbetween each addition. I then outlined the words with my gel pen. I used checked ribbon, a silk flower with a foam center and gel pen dots topped with demensional glue to finish the card. This will be one of a set of cards in these colors of a swap challenge. Happy crafting. Janet

Winter Mittens AIF009

Here is my entry in the AIFactory challenge #9. I used the mittens from the Verve free digi site. When you print the set out you get two sets of mittens and three sets of the verse so I decided to make them up using two different sketches to show how different colors and patterns can completly change the looks of your card. I hope you enjoyed seeing the difference you can manage using the same image. Once again I used scrap paper to make my card. Enjoy, Janet

Winter Wishes

This is my entry in the Just Christmas & Birthdays sketch challenge. I used one of the free digi stamps from Verve to make the mittens and for the verse. They work pretty good and I had fun coloring and glittering the mittens. The circles are made with my Marvy punches, the verse is cut with the nestibilities. I used cardstock embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder flower strip for the green center strip and the printed paper is from a mat stack I bought at Micheal's, yarn was from my scrap stash. In fact everything on the card but the base and the mittens are from my scrap stash. I have been trying to use up some of my scrap pieces for my cards. It is amazing how fast the scrap paper collects. Happy crafting, Janet

Both of these pieces were cut with my nestibilities. I use a $1 stamp from Micheal's for the sentiment. Have a great evening, Janet

Carrots

Here is my recipe card for the November swap on Cindy's Recipe Swaps. We have a lot of fun on this group and get some terrific recipes. If you are interested in joining look her up on Yahoo groups and tell her I sent you over to join the fun. We are having friends over for dinner and a few games of cards tonight so I won't be doing very much in the card line. Everyone have a great evening and remember to say something nice to your neighbor, call a friend, encourage someone who is down. Life is to short not to follow God's plan for us to help each other. Clowns

Here is my entry for the Handfull of Stamps challenge, The challenge was to make at least three layers of the same thing. I chose to do clowns for a childs birthday card. The green base card has one kind of clown stamped onto it, I stamped a second clown on the white mat paper. My big punch out clown was backed in green with different colors of cardstock for the eyes, nose, mouth and buttons. I raised it up for added height and interest. Some of the balloons are colored with my gel pens and some of them are plastic. This is my last card for tonight time for bed. See everyone tomorrow. Janet

Silently

This is my MOJO110 challenge card. Again the base card is white, I did a faux metal embossing using aluminum foil over old cardstock and then embossed it with my cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. Next layer is a red and green Christmas paper, followed by a red snowflake embossed piece of cardstock, the gold tree on the green is part of an old Christmas card, the verse and the mat were cut with my nestibilities. The verse is recycled from a date book with daily verses. I finished the card with a small green bow. Everything on the card except the base cardstock is from my stash of leftovers or my recycle bin. Happy crafting, Janet

Christmas in White

This is my entry in the Sketch and Stash challenge #22. The new product I am using are the glitter gems I bought at the $ store. In this card I have used white cardstock base, next comes a mat of wall paper, a piece of white embossed with swirls, cream embossed with snowflakes, my recycled verse embossed with dots. All embossing was done with my cuttlebug embossing folders. I think this makes a really nice Christmas card. Thanks for looking, Janet
