May your day radiate

This card is my entry in two different challenges. First is the Stamping Sister's in Christ Sunday challenge. We needed to make a card showing God is with us all ways and shows goodness towards others. The second challenge is a sketch challenge on Unscripted sketches # 30. For this card I used a speckled white cardstock base with pale orange cardstock to mat my print paper. I used another shade of orange for the ribbon, silk flower and jewels. The verse is from the Angel Company and was cut with my nestibilities. I used a light peach cardstock for the verse and matted it in the pale orange. This card will go into a pack I am making for a Christmas present. Happy crafting, Janet

Time for Bed

This is my entry for Digi Kitty's Monday challenge. We had to make a card that is framed. We were free to figure out what exactly we wanted to do with that concept. I chose to frame one of my recycled cards. I used the nestibilities to cut the scalloped oval out of my red cardstock that I had embossed with the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder. I added jewels to the centers of some of the snowflakes to add sparkle to the card. Thanks for looking and happy crafting, Janet

Elephant Birthday card

Here above you will find my sketch entry for Taylored Expression sketch 90 for this week. I used a new elephant stamp I bought at a second hand store this week, denim look ribbon and matted the whole card four times. The center image is on pop dots.
Now if you look to the right you will see the same card opened out and showing that it is an easel card for the Crazy 4 Challenges Sat challenge. C4C10. This is a lot easier to make than I though and I had a lot of fun making the card. For instructions on how to make your own easel card go here. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Make a Wish , Birthday Card

This is my entry for the Stamp TV Thurs. sketch challenge. I used pink cardstock for my base card with pink and brown dotted paper matted on brown for the second layer. Brown ribbon goes across the card and makes a bow at the bottom. I punched out two different scalloped squares for the center piece and cut smaller rectangles with my fiskers sissors for the verse. I finished the card with a stack of birthday presents ( a digi stamp from ) colored and mounted on pop dots. Enjoy, Janet

Let it Snow

Here is my card for the Unscripted Sat. sketch 29. I used a snowman so I can use this for one of my swap cards. I bought the new stamp in Micheal's today. Love how cute it is. The green is a paint chip, I matted the stamped print on black cardstock, the red and white pattern paper is from my scrap stash, the Let it Snow ribbon is from Micheals and the star is from my button stash. Enjoy, Janet

Blessings

This is my entry for Stamp TV's Monday color challenge. We had to use black, dark purple and gold. My base card is black card stock, the dark purple is matted in gold, the scalloped oval is cut from gold with my nestibilities, the plain oval is dark purple and cut with the nestibilities. I stamped my verse in gold and then embossed it with more gold. The small oval is put onto the card with pop dots to make it stand out more. Thanks for looking, Janet

Windmill

This is my sketch challenge on my Stampers Corner swap group. The sketch was from a member of my Just Cards group, I added some color with my handy pencils and matted it in black. The cardstock is from JoAnn's, I used one of the cuttlebug embossing folders to do the flowers on the brown strips. Once again who knows where the ribbon came from, it is one of the many I have in my stash. I am trying to get some of it used up. The silk leaf finishes off the card. I used demensional tape to pop the center image up to add depth to the card. Hope you enjoy the card, Janet
REMEMBER TO LEAVE A COMMENT ON ONE OF MY NOV. CARDS IF YOU WANT IN THE NOV. BLOG CANDY CONTEST. I WILL BE GIVING SOME OF MY MANY RIBBONS AS PART OF THE PRIZE.

Fall leaves

This is my entry in Mercy's Tues. challenge MTSC46. I am also using it for my 2RedBananas challenge card. For this challenge I needed to use at least 3 of the 4 challenge colors (red, yellow, orange & brown) I managed to use them all. The pattern paper is from JoAnn's, the mat is a recycled gift bag and the orange ribbon is from my ribbon stash, not sure where I bought it since I buy a lot of ribbon from my local second hand store it probably came from there. The image was in the fall image exchange from my Just Cards group so I don't know who makes it. I used my nestibilities to cut out the image and all the mats. I punched out different colors of leaves with a punch I bought at Micheal's years ago and glued them beneath the tree. I finished off the card with three leaf emblishments. Hope you enjoy the card, Janet

Friends MMSC26

Here is my entry for this week in the Midnight Madness sketch challenge. I had a lot of fun with this one, pattern paper is from JoAnn's, image I stamped at my sister in law's so don't know whe makes the stamp. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder for the white cardstock on the corners. Red and white ribbon for the accents and colored pencils to finish off the image. This makes a great card to send for almost any occasion. Happy crafting, Janet

Santa

Here is my entry in the Papercraft Sat. Challenge SK103109 and my swap card for Stampers Corner Christmas card mingle. I used various pieces of cardstock in greens and red, embossed with the cuttlebug folder for the background. The santa image is from the Angel Company, the verse from a $ stamp I bought at Micheal's. I cut and matted them using my nestibilities. The verse is popped up to add height to the card. Happy crafting, Janet

Hope

This is my entry in two different sketch challenges, the sketch challenge is from Card Positioning sketches and the image is a digi stamp from Simple Doodles and is for their challenge. I plan on using this for my "Pass it On" card for next week. I cut the half circles using Creative Memories circle template and embossed with cuttlebugs embossing folder. I printed the Simple Doodles image on white cardstock, and colored the ribbon with a pink gel pen. I then matted it on a dark purple cardstock and put it onto the front of the card with pop dots. Hope you enjoy the card, Janet

Butterfly Beauty

Here is this week's entry in the Card Patterns sketch challenge #39. I started with gray cardstock and used my cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the front, I distressed the front with black ink. I added ribbon and a part circle of velum. The butterfly center is a $ stamp from Micheal's cut into an oval with my nestibilities, the mat is tan cardstock cut with the nestibilities and edged in black. I restamped the butterfly on muted gold, cut it out and used cut circles of heavy plastic to lift the second butterfly up to add some depth, here is the place to look for directions.
http://www.papercraftplanet.com/video/making-pop-dots, I added silk flowers and gems to complete the card. Happy crafting, Janet

Thank you in pink and blue

This card is my entry in The Farm Fresh challenge #10. It is also my week 2 color challenge for my Just Cards swap group. The blue Thank You pieces were cut with my new EK Success border punch, I popped them up for added demension. Happy crafting, Janet

The Little Cook MOJO111

Here is my MoJo111 entry. I love the sketch this week, I used two of my fall Magnolia stamps. I love that you can sit the figure on the knife and fork. I bought some new little buttons yesterday at Wal Mart so had to use them on this card. Also used some of my silk flowers. The papers are from JoAnn's, the print is part of the "Once Upon A Time" mat stack. I love the glittery papers in that stack. Happy scrapping.
