Miss You #2

This is my final entry for tonight, it is for Stamp TV's Thursday sketch challenge. This card has a burgandy linen look base with four different circles cut from either wall paper or a specielty paper I received from my daughter. The verse is from the Angel Company. I finshed the card off with a ribbon wrapped around the card front.
Just to let everone know I will not be online for the next couple of days, I am going to a scrap retreat in Spokane tomorrow and won't be home until Sunday. I will share some of my pages with you when I return, Janet

Snowman Nativity

This is my entry in the Handfull of Stamps challenge. We had to make a Holiday card of some kind. Since we are coming up on the Christmas season I made a card with one of my favorite sets of stamps from The Angel Company. I used a white speckled cardstock for the base and the large mat. The image is stamped onto white cardstock. Both pieces of cardstock are matted on silver and black wall paper. I colored the images with gel pens and finished the card off with a silver bow. The verse is stamped and embossed in black, the star is stamped and embossed in silver. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Old Mill

Here is my entry in the Just Christmas and Birthdays Monday sketch challenge. I started with ivory base cardstock and put some light green speceilty paper as the base (I can't remember where I got it, probably from my daughter) I then cut sage green linen look rectangles for the third layer. The top layer of the card is an old mill image I received in a swap on my Just Cards group. I lightly colored the image with my pencils and matted it on black cardstock then taped it to my card front. The three jewels at the bottom finish the sketch. Thanks for looking, Janet

Missing you

This is my Monday color challenge card for Stamp TV. The challenge colors are Ivory, Champagne, & Burgandy. I used Burgandy linen look cardstock for the base card, Ivory wall paper for the large mat, champagne matted in burgandy for the center image and a champagne bow to finish the card. The image is from the Angel Company and says Miss You. Happy Crafting, Janet

Wonderful Life

This is my entry in Mercy's Tues. sketch challenge. I used one of my new Cute Daisy May images. I figured out (with help) how to size the images so now I can make them any size I wish. I used pale lavender and sage green for this card. The pattern paper is from a mat stack I bought a few years ago at Micheals. I did some faux stitching around the center piece of sage green cardstock. My image was colored with my handy coloring pencils and put onto the card with pop dots. Hope you have enjoyed todays cards, It is time for me to be getting to bed now. Janet

Miss You

This is my MOJO Monday sketch card. I used linen look cardstock for my base card and for the two rectangles that are the center images. The print paper is from a mat stack from Micheals, it is matted in a pale lavender cardstock. I also matted the sage green in the same pale lavender. I used a lavender eyelet in the top rectangle and tied yarn in the hole for added interest. I cut my sage green circle with my EK success punch and centered it in the middle of a silk flower. The saying is from an old stamping up set. Hope you are enjoying my efforts to inspire everyone with my cards. Janet

You're Purr fect

It's time to enter my nightly cards, this first one is for the Little Paper Shop's Monday sketch challenge. I used an off white speckled cardstock for my base card and for the square behind the oval with the cat picture. Yellow cardstock was matted on black with a half circle of black on the left side of the card. The square was edged in black and attached corner wise on the card front. The oval for the cat and mat were cut with my nestibilities. I used black and yellow ribbon for the corner decoration and stamped my cat verse in the top corner. There is a small cat stamped inside. Happy crafting, Janet

Cute as a Button

How many challenges can one card cover? I don't really know but this one covers 3 challenges. #1 Digi Kitty Monday use some punches challenge. I used two punches in this card, my square scalloped Marvy punch and my round scalloped punch shaper. Challenge #2 is for my Just cards group and is a color challenge. Color choices were: Raspberry, Sapphire, Khaki, Seashell, & Ochra. I used the first three colors. Sorry but my Sapphire looks sort of purple after I put all the embossing powder on it. Challenge #3 is for the Squiggle Fly Mon. sketch. I embossed all four squares with four of my small cuttlebug embossing folders then sanded off the top of each raised image. I covered the round scallop with versa mark and clear embossing powder. Makes it all shimmery. A large cream button with a jewel in the center finishes off the card. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Sunflowers

Afternoon, here is my entry in 2 of this weeks challenges. #1 is the AiFactory Tues. challenge. We needed to use one of the free digi stamps and brads or eyelets. I choose eyelets and the sunflower digi. I colored the image with colored pencils.
The sketch is for the Midnight Madness Mon. challenge. The center image is matted in yellow and raised on the card using home made pop dots. I saw a video last week on how to make them out of cardboard but took it one step further and made mine out of the plastic trays that meat and veggies come on when you buy them at the store. Works great and you don't have to stack them to get more height. I wrapped the ribbon around the image so the pop dots don't show and made a nice knot at one corner. I used print paper from JoAnn's for the background and cut a scalloped square to make the corner pieces. Yellow eyelets finish off the card. Hope you enjoyed my card and how to make it, give home made pop dots a try, they are fun to work with and save a lot of money if you like to pop your images. Happy crafting, Janet

Pass it On.

I am mailing out my Pass it On card for this week today. It will be a surprise for the person who won the honors this week.

The card to the left is the one being sent, you will also receive a small gift for joining in this challenge to make a difference in someone's day. Thank you, Janet

Field of Flowers

This is my entry in the Etsy Inspired challenge. We had to do a card based on one of Broom"s original fine art photos. I chose a photo of flowers on brown stems. For this card I embossed a piece of cardstock with my cuttlebug embossing folder, stamped it with versa mark and used copper embossing powder to make my image resemble brown flower stems. I then tore the top off the paper and mounted it onto my cream cardstock base. I added cream silk flowers, some with a touch of pink to the front of the card, used jewels for the flower centers and stamed a sentiment from the Angel Company in the top corner. Hope you enjoy the card, Janet

Results of last weeks poll

It looks like the majority of you like fall colors. Over 50% of the vote was for this catagory. Thanks for taking part and look for the next poll to be put up today. Janet

How Kind of You

I made this card for the Tone on Tone swap on JustCards a swap group I belong too. My swap partner received it today so I can now share it with everyone. Sorry the scan doesn't show really well. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder to do the back mat, then used a sizzix embossing folder for the verse, I matted it onto textured wallpaper and then attached it to the card front. Easy and fun to make. I love doing tone on tone cards. Happy crafting, Janet

Birthday in Red and White

This is my entry in the PaperCraftPlanet color challenge. As you may be able to guess the colors are red and white. I embossed my base card with the cuttlebug embossing folder dotted swiss, the white sections were stamped, the edges inked and then fastened to the card. It makes a bright and festive Birthday card. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Three Stars

Here is my entry in the Stamp Something challenge for this week. We had to use one ribbon, two papers, and 3 emblishments. I am hoping that the image is not considered an emblishment :). This is another of the Cute Daisy May images. I colored her with my pencils and then cut the image out before attaching her to the center piece of my card with pop dots. My base card was embossed with one of the cuttlebug embossing folders. I used print paper from JoAnn's and white cardstock for my two papers. My 3 emblishments are the star brads and the bow is my one ribbon. Hope you enjoy this card, I think it will be prefect for a little girl. Spend some time making cards it will relax you and your friends will love getting your creations. Janet

Rooster weathervane

Evening everyone, here is my first card for tonight. It is a sketch challenge for Scrap and Stamp Canada. I started with gray cardstock for the base of my card, stamped and embossed a flourish on the side, the image I received in a swap so don't know who makes it but I love it and the verse, I cut it out and matted it on black cardstock then attached it to the card front with pop dots. I added three jewels to the card for some sparkle. Happy crafting, Janet

Bath Time

My last card for tonight is another Cute Daisy May image. This card is my entry in two different challenges. First is Craft Planets Monday color challenge, Black/White with a touch of color ( I chose a pinkish purple color). The second is the Fri. sketch challenge on Stamp TV. We had to use sentiment paper for the background and then add the image in the center. I used my new Creative Memories corner punch on all of my corners and used colored pencils on my image. Thanks for stopping by, Happy crafting, Janet

Birthday Girl

Another of my Cute Daisy May images. I won 5 different sheets of images and it was a hard job to decide which ones I wanted to get. This card is for the Sweet Shop sketch challenge. I started with linen look blue cardstock for the base and added print paper from a stack mat I bought at Micheal's. I wrapped the print paper with yarn and then added the part circle to the corner. This was cut with my Marvy punch, I inked the edges and used pop dots to raise it to give the card some depth. The yellow square was punched using my Creative Memories punch, I inked the edges and stamped a small flower that I got in a set from JoAnn's in the corner. I cut the white square, inked the edges and matted it in blue, inked it and added it to the front of the card. My image was colored with my pencils, cut out and attached with pop dots. I then tied a bow over the yarn and the card is finished. Happy crafting, Janet

Strawberry Fairy

This is the first of my new images I won last week and received today. They are from Cute Daisy May and are just adorable. The card is my entry in the Card Positioning Systems sketch challenge. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the front of the card, added the ribbon by cutting a tiny slit in the fold of the card and threading the ribbon through, then I tied a cute bow. I printed out my image, turned out smaller than I had expected (will have to do some practice to get the size a little bigger) the size worked great for my scalloped punch though. I used my handy pencils to color the image and then popped her up with pop dots. This card will work well for almost any female (old or young or anywhere inbetween). Thanks for looking, Janet

America

Good evening everyone, here is my first card for tonight. It is my entry in Card Patterns sketch 40 and in the Stamping Sisters in Christ Sunday challenge. For the sketch I used pattern papers from a mat stack I bought at JoAnn's, I used my cuttlebug embosser for the white cardstock squares and my creative memories corner rounder on all the edges. The stamp is one I bought at Micheal's last year. The colors and the stamp are for the Patriotic challenge for SSC. This card will go to one of our military men stationed overseas. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Candle

This is my entry in the A1Factory challenge. We had to alter something. I added raffia and a Thanksgiving verse to a candle for a Thanksgiving present for a friend. Not really unique but was all I could think of to make. I am not a big altering thing person. It is out of my comfort zone. Maybe I need to work on doing more things in this catagory. Happy crafting, Janet

This Bud's for You

Here is my entry in the Whimsie Wed. challenge and the Paper Craft Planet Sat. SNSS1 Challenge . For the Whimsie challenge we had to use two of their images. I used the turtle with the flower and the verse that goes with it. I colored the image with my handy coloring pencils and matted the verse to match the main page mat. The sketch is the challenge for the Paper Craft Planet. I matted the large print paper on plain pink cardstock, cut my small squares with my punch using two different print papers with simular colors, I attached them in each corner of the card the put a piece of ribbon along the top of the bottom squares. I cut a larger scalloped square and matted it with the pink cardstock and attached it to the middle of the card. My image was then attached with pop dots to the center square. The verse was attached to the bottom corner of the card. I think this will make a nice Birthday card for a little girl, happy crafting, Janet

On the Road

This is my entry in the 2 Redbananas Sunday challenge. We needed to use 3 eyelets, 2 ribbons, and 1 or more ovals. I used part of an old map, matted on brown cardstock, the 3 eyelets mark towns, the 2 ribbons criss-cross the card and the oval has a On The Road sticker. Just a fun card to send a note to a friend who travels. Enjoy, Janet
