Trip to Arizona

These two pages are of our trip to see my sister in Arizona last Feb. Finally got around to getting them on the page and out of my stash. I used basic black and white with a little gold for bling. This was a fast and easy layout to make. Enjoy, Janet

The Sweet Life

Here is my entry in the Farm Fresh Friday No Frills challenge. I used one of my fall Magnolia stamps and colored her with my pencils adding the dove blender on top. The background and her spot to sit are embossed using two different cuttlebug embossing folders. The cupcake and the saying are from Hampton Arts. Buttons were added to finish the card. This is a very nice card for someones birthday. Happy Crafting, Janet

Bling, Bling

This is my entry in the Fri. Stamp Something Challenge for this challenge we had to make a card with bling. I used sparkly paper, embossed Thank You in silver, added a silver dolie and for the center I stamped my image with a glue pad and sprinkled it with glitter. Thanks for looking, hope you like the card. This was my first card using my new glue pad, I think it is a fun tech. Janet

Birthday in Purple

This is my card for the Sketch and Stash challenge # 21. You had to follow the sketch and use something you had that was new and never used in your stash. The emblishments in the corner are the newest things I had to use and I have never used this kind before. The card front is made with three different cuttlebug embossing folders. One for each color. Enjoy, Janet

Great Day and Follow the Leader

I made these two cards tonight for different sketch challenges on SCS Great Day is a Thanksgiving card, we had to make with no emblishments. The design of the card was up to the designer. I chose to use punches to make my design for this card. Follow the Leader is a birthday card for a man or boy. I used one of the $1 stamps I bought at Micheal's, colored colored the cars, cut them out for the three images needed to complete the sketch. I also used one of my favorite cuttlebug embossing folders. Happy crafting, Janet

It's a Wonderful Life

Here is a card I just finished for SCS sketch challenge VLVOct01 It is suppose to be shabby chic. I think it turned out more antique but kind of like it anyway. I used a gold doilie, some crinkled up paper, ran a piece of cardstock through the crimper (I need to use that more often, keep forgetting I have it stuck in a drawer) antiqued everything with black ink and added a cute verse from The Angel Co. It was fun once I figured out what to do about that part circle in the middle of the sketch :). See you tomorrow, time for bed now. Sweet Dreams, Janet

Laughter

Here is my entry for the Scrap & Stamp Canada Oct #2 challenge Another simple card to use for any occasion. Cardstock base, black ribbon, a nice verse embossed on white, matted on black and a few flowering vines. Easy to make and fun to give. Happy crafting, Janet

For You

Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge entry #43. Very simple but nice card for any occasion. I used a green base, white cardstock matted in black. Print paper matted in black, silk flowers with a green foam center. Stamp is one of the $ stamps from Micheal's. Hope you like the card. Happy crafting. Janet

Hummingbird

This is my entry in the Midnight Madness #23 sketch challenge. The fan shapes are peach ribbon with crystals on them, the silver is a decorative doilie, the flowers and hummingbird are recycled from an old card. The silver gray strip is a piece of wall paper. The card base is peach cardstock with black cardstock on top. This was a fun sketch to work with, took a little more though than some of the different sketches I have done in the past. Hope you all enjoy the card, Janet

Hedgehog Thank You TESC86

This is my entry for this weeks Taylored Expressions sketch challenge. My hedgehog image I printed out when I was visiting my sister in law and I don't remember who makes the stamp. I colored it with my pencils and the dove blender. Everything is matted before I attached it to the base card. The ribbon is from my very large stash. I don't think I will every run out of ribbon. It seems to expand when I am not looking or more like when my husband is not looking. Maybe next month I will give away a supply of different ribbons for my Blog Candy. Enjoy the card, I enjoyed creating it, Janet

Happiness is Reflective

This is my entry in this weeks MoJo Monday 108 sketch challenge. The verse is from Cloud 9 Designs. I cut out and matted a couple of the brown circle designs then popped them up with demensional tape. Happy crafting. Janet

Birdhouse

I made this card for a swap on one of my card groups. It is a SCS sketch. The stamp is one that I bought at a second hand store today. I colored it with pencils and added the dove blender. The paper is some from my scrap stash, a piece of ribbon and 6 little jewels and you have a card that will serve for most any occasion. Happy crafting, Janet

Smashed holly hock card

Here is the card I used for a no stamps swap on Just Cards. The flowers are smashed baby holly hocks from my garden. I used my sizzix to smash the flowers. I did find that the smaller the flower the better it worked. You put the flowers between two pieces of card stock and smash them down really good. The liquid in the flower spreads out and soaks into the paper. You will then have two images to use on your cards (after it dries) I can't find the directions for this tech. It was shared on another group. I am glad my swap partner liked the card. Happy crafting, Janet

Pretty Petunia

Here is my Friday sketch #36 for Card Patterns I used my nestibilities, silk flowers and a brad, some scrap floral paper. It has been torn and edges with ink, the petunia image I bought at a yard sale so don't know who made the stamp. I colored it with pencils and used my dove blender. Now to see if I can get the link to work properly. Happy crafting, Janet

Bleached Birthday card

Here is my entry in two different SCS challenges, one is a color challenge We had to use bleach on our stamp and then use the bleached out color for the second color in our card. My green bleached out to a light cream. The second challenge was a sketch and color challenge We had to use the sketch without using orange or brown colors. I don't think the bleached candles turned out as well as they would have on darker paper but I am happy with the card and I am sure who ever I send it to for their birthday will be happy also. Happy crafting and be sure to let me know in your comments if you want in the blog candy contest. Janet

Words of Love SSS25

I made this card for a color challenge on SCS and a sketch challenge on Sweet Shop. This is an anniversary card and I love the color combinations. We had to use Lavender Lace, Barely banana, going Gray with the option of adding black and white. Since I do not buy the brand of papers the colors are picked from I improvise and come as close as possible with the stash I have at home. Hope you enjoy this card. It was fun and easy to make. Maybe it will inspire you to use the same sketch. Happy crafting, Janet

Thank You

Here is my entry in the Crazy 4 Challenges contest for this week. It is a Thank You card with string embroidery and two different ribbons for emblishment. This will also go onto Splitcoaststampers for a sketch challenge. Hope you all enjoy my latest creation, Happy Crafting, Janet

Magnolia Thank You

Here is my entry in the Just Magnolia's challenge week 26. I received this image in the fall collection that I just bought. I used 2 styles of ribbon, my fiskers circle punch, cuttlebug embossing folder, flower crystals and my magnolia die. She is colored with pencil and the image is raised on the card. Thanks for looking, Janet

Hi There

Good evening everyone, here is my entry in the Friday Stamp Something challenge. The challenge is to use browns plus something else. I chose green since I needed those colors for a swap on one of my groups. I used green for the base card and three shades of brown. The darkest shade is embossed with my cuttlebug embossing folder. The stamp is from the Angel Company and I colored it with my gel pens. I put the matted papers on my card at an angle to add interest. Happy Crafting, Janet

Glitter stripes

This was my first try using double stick tape and glitter. I found the idea on SplitcoastStampers in their tutorials a few months ago and though it would be fun to try. I put on the strips and removed the top covering of the pink strips first and then added the glitter, I used the brayer to make sure it was pushed into the tape well. The excess glitter was poured back into the bottle. I then did the blue strips in the same manner. I will be trying another style using the glitter one of these days soon. The verse and flowers are a old card I recycled for this card. I finished it off with a small blue ribbon. It made a very pretty old fashion looking card. Great for a special anniversary. I have started a new poll, Embossing folders was the hands down winner in last weeks poll. Thanks to all of you who are voting in my polls, please take the time to vote in the new poll. If you have any suggestions for my poll questions please let me know in a comment. Happy crafting, Janet
