Cherish Friends

Here is my entry in the sketch challenge on the Fresh and Fun Blog, I made it a Thanksgiving card for one of my swaps on another group. As you can see I used two different cuttlebug embossing folders, a few leaf and brass emblishments and a stamped fall image colored with glitter pens. Thanks for looking, Janet

Jazzy Inspiration #20

Here is my entry in the Jazz Inspirations challenge . The challenge was to make a card using black, white and purple with a music theme. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder for the sheet music look, stamped and embossed the notes in purple onto white paper, matted on anothe shade of purple, tied with a light purple ribbon and attached to the front of my card. The verse inside says "sorry to hear you are out of tune, hoping you will be better soon" Happy Crafting, Janet

Girl with flower

Here is my pretty little Magnolia image all dressed up and entered in two challenges. The SCS color challenge #CC238 and The SCS sketch challenge SC249 I had a lot of fun with this card. Like the last one I made it is raised to add demension. I am really enjoying working with the great images that my friends on Just Cards have sent me. It is great to be able to exchange images and see what everyone else has in their supplies. Happy crafting to everyone. Will be back again tomorrow. Janet

Toffee poke cake recipe page

Here is one of my October swap pages for Cindys recipe swaps. It is a yahoo group and if you are interested I can give you the address. We would welcome any of you into the group if you like swapping scrapped recipe cards. The cards are 6 X 6 and we can decorate any way we like. I used the knife and fork stamp from my new Magnolia set and the words from a set of stamps from Hampton Arts (bought at Micheal's) and silk flowers to complete this design. Happy crafting, Janet

Happy Birthday

Here is my entry in the Techno Stamper sketch challenge. It is also challenge CC194 on Splitcoaststampers, This was fun combining two challenges. I used wall paper for my Vanilla color and of course the silk flowers add more vanilla and some rust. With a rust mat and gray card that completes my three colors for the challenge. Thanks for looking, Happy crafting everyone, Janet

Punch art

Here are a couple of cards I made for the Splitcoaststampers (link to my gallery)color challanges. I used my punches to make different patterns on each card. The Truck

Here is my entry for the Card Patterns sketch challenge. I was trying to do one of those scene cards. Not sure it is right but I like how it turned out. As you can tell I used my brayer to put on the assorted background colors. I need to buy some differnt ones as these are too varied for most things. I recolored the truck part of the stamped image with yellow and added a little green to the trees. The buttons, Yarn and Birthday greeting make it a finished card. Should work well for a man's card. Happy crafting, Janet

Celebrate MMSC22

Here is my entry in the Midnight Madness #22 card sketch challenge. This was fun, I love this sketch. The little mouse if one I stamped while visiting my sister in law, not sure who makes it, forgot to look when I was stamping. I used colored pencils and gel pens to color the image, leaf and heart emblishments and a little pen work around the different pieces of card stock. I am going to use this as a birthday or anniversary card. Haven't decided yet. Happy crafting, Janet

Vintage Anniversary

Here is another card I just finished for Splitcoaststampers Tech. challenge. It is embossed tin foil and I had lots of fun making the cards (3). I rubbed the embossed foil with my brown ink pad (Keep something soft under it so you don't mess up the embossing), stamped my message and tore it out, crinkled it up and rubbed it with the brown stamp pad to make the antique look. I did the same thing to the inside verse. Give this a try you will have lots of fun with this tech. Happy crafting, Janet

Blueberries MTSC42

Here is my entry in the Lord Have Mercy Tuesday sketch challenge. I think I am getting addicted to these colors. They go together so well. I colored my images with pencils and tried to blend them with my dove blender. First time I have tried this and I think it turned out ok. I raised the image so it has some depth to the card and used little flower gems at the top. I also used my cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the half circle at the bottom of the card. Enjoy the card and thanks for stopping by to look. Please vote in my poll if you haven't all ready done so. Janet

Nail Polish tech.

Here is a new tech. for me. Instructions can be found here. I used drops of nail polish in a pan of water, put my cardstock on top, removed it with my tweezers and set aside to dry. After it was dry I cut it into the different shapes and taped to my card. The orange glittery background is from a recycled gift bag. I embossed the sentiment onto the card, added a cute button and the card was done. I made five of them last night for a swap I am in on one of my groups. Hope you enjoy this card. Janet

God Has Blessed Me MOJO107

Here is my entry in the MOJO Monday challenge 107. The verse is from the Angel Company, I used my cuttlebug embossing folders for the embossed flowers and for the button strip. The circles were cut with my Marvy punches and I embossed the verse in black. The small black buttons were embossed on black cardstock and then cut out with some orange glitter pen around the edges. Hope you enjoyed my card. Janet

Super Stars

My two youngest grandchildren at one of their baseball games. I used my Cricut to cut the lettering and a Sizzix die for the emblishments. Happy Crafting, Janet

Monkeying around

Here is one of the childrens birthday cards I made for a swap. The monkeys are cut with a cuttlebug die using scraps of card stock and mounted onto white card stock. The back mat is from a birthday bag I bought at the $ store. Brown buttons finish the card front and a cute birthday verse is inside. Enjoy, Janet
