Birthday Girl in Pink

Here is my MOJO Monday sketch card, it is also the Stamping Stage color challenge for this week.
I used one of my new Winter collection Magnolia stamps for my image and colored her with my pencils and then used the blender pen. I inked up my cuttlebug birthday embossing folder and embossed the white cardstock. I then cut my shape with the new Nesties I bought this week. To finish up my card I used a little ribbon with some red, orangish gold card stock and dark pink cardstock for the base card. Hope you all enjoy my efforts and check back often to see what is new. Janet

Celebrate in white with stars

Here is another white on white card. I used the Stamp TV sketch challenge for this one. The embossed paper is from the Just Cards embossed paper swap, next layer is wall paper, top piece is white card stock with Celebrate heat embossed with white and silver embossing powder. I punched the little stars using one of my old punches, put silver gems in the middle and used pop dots to put them onto the card. Enjoy, Janet

Celebrate in White

Today's first card is for the AiFactory challenge to make a card that can be given to anyone. It is also for one of my swap groups color challenge. White on White. Hard to scan though so I hope you can get a good enough idea of how it looks. I used one of the embossed backgrounds I received in a swap on my Just Cards group, Heat embossed Celebrate onto white cardstock and then cut it out with my new nesties. attached it to the card with pop dots and added a white ribbon in the oposite corner. Hope you enjoy the card. Janet

Cabin in the woods

This is my entry in the Little Paper Shop color challenge. We were to use Navy blue, lt. blue and silver. This is my new scenic stamp I bought at Craft Warehouse today. I stamped and embossed the image twice using two different silver embossing powders. I added a little color with my pencils to add a little more demension to the trees and cabin area also for the snow on the ground. The birthday greeting is from Micheal's $1 stamps and the ribbon is some I bought at a second hand store. Hope you enjoy the card, Janet

Celebrate in Gold

Tonight's first card is for the Midnight Madness sketch contest and for the Stamping Sister's in Christ theme contest. The papers are from JoAnn's and the Paper Zone, fibers are some that I got at a yard sale. The stamps are from Micheals. I used two different punches to do the center part of the card. The stamped circle has pop dots to give it height. Enjoy, Janet

Get Well Soon

My last card for this morning, this is entered in 2 challenges. Stamping Sisters in Christ Sunday challenge to make a card with bling. I used versa mark and embossing powder on my dry embossed mat. I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders before I did the heat embossing. I also put a little glitter on the tips of my silk flowers and a jewel in the center. The sketch is from Taylored expressions, a very clean cut sketch that makes an elegant card. I used two pieces of paint chips and stamped my saying with Stazon black ink. To prevent the ink from smudging on the paint chips it is necessary to use Stazon or to emboss the image. Hope you like my cards that I made last night. Will have more tonight or tomorrow, have a great day, Janet

Merry Christmas snowman

Here is another card that covers 3 challenges. Crazy 4 Challenges wanted snow or snowflakes so I used my cuttlebug embossing folder to make snowflakes. Sketch and Stash provided the sketch for my card, I used my Martha Steward border punch for the decorative edge and all papers are from JoAnn's. The image is from Digi Kitty and their challenge was to make a card for a child. I think any little one will like the snowman. This is going to one of my Grandchildren for Christmas this year. Thanks for looking, Janet

Smile

Morning everyone, here is one of the cards I finished last night. It is entered into 3 different challenges. It is the Paper Craft Planet Sat. sketch challenge, the Etsy inspired challenge and Stamping Sue's polka dot challenge. This is a simple sketch that makes a very nice card. I used papers from JoAnn's and matted each layer in black. The cat stamp is one I found a few years ago (don't remember where) that I love to put on cards for kids. I am going to use this as a Birthday card. Thanks for stopping by, Janet

Hope you enjoy my creation, Janet

Peace on Earth

This is my entry in the Midnight Madness sketch challenge and in the Whimsie doodle Wed. challenge. The sketch was really fun to work with, I used my snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder on the red cardstock for my mat. I needed to make a card using a Whimsie digi and snow, so I used the new Peace on Earth digi and put a little snow at the bottom of the image with embossing powder and of course the snowflakes. Enjoy, Janet

Up, Up, & Away

This is my card for the Stamp TV sketch challenge. I used the air balloon digi stamp from Simple Doodles that will be released on the 10th. This makes a really cute birthday card. Happy crafting, Janet

Flying High

Here is my entry in the Midnight Madness sketch challenge. We needed to use the sketch and make a Christmas card with something that fly's. Because I wanted to use one of the new Simple Doodles images I chose to use Rudolf the Red nosed reindeer for my something that fly's.
I sanded my base cardstock and tore the next layer to give it an antique look. Also inked the striped layer for the same reason. The moon was punched with my marvy scalloped punch and the cloud was had cut then covered with glitter. Rudolf was colored with my essential pens, colored pencils and gel pens and attached with pop dots. Tiny sparkly gems were added to the top and bottom of the striped paper. Hope you like my card, Janet

Merry Christmas in White

This is my entry in Stamping Sue's daring weekly challenge. We were to make a white card for Christmas. Very hard to get a good scan, I am going to have to start using my camera for some of my cards. Will dig it out for use next time. The black you see behind the card was put there to make the card show up better. Didn't work very well :(. I used white base cardstock, mat of wall paper, snowflake embossed white cardstock, heat embossed Merry Christmas on tag, pop dotted it to card, put glue around edge of tag and sprinkled with white glitter. It looks a lot better in person ladies. Hope you have a great night, Janet

Happy crafting, Janet

Feel Better

Here is my one and only card for tonight. Been shopping with my friend today and then had Bell Choir practice. So I am tired and don't feel like creating. This is one of the new Simple Doodles digi images. I used paint chips, stazon black ink and some ribbon to make the card. The images are colored with the new Craft Essentials pens I bought at JoAnn's today. It is going to take some practice for me to learn how to use the pens. I used my 40% off coupon and bought the large box so I have lots of colors to work with. Will try more tomorrow. I am going to relax and read a little before going to be. Had a great time shopping, found a new little scrapbook store I didn't know about, ate lunch at Olive Gardens and hit 6 different second hand or consignment stores. Love shopping in them. Never know what you will find :) Catch everyone tomorrow, Janet

This is a try at something different. I use a digi stamp from Digi Kitty and colored the image with my handy coloring pencils. I then cut it out, did some torn paper at the bottom and then covered the card with clear glue and sprinkled on white glitter. Not sure if I like it or not. What do you think? It seems a little bland to me. My husband says it looks like it is snowing but I didn't get the impression he though it was very good. I am going to work on something else using this image since I think this snowman is really cute. I just figured you all should see my experments along with the others I make. Have a great day, Janet
